Pupils enjoy action-packed day at Amazon

Recently, 12 pupils – from Year 5 and 6 at Broom Leys Primary School – enjoyed an action-packed afternoon at the Amazon Distribution Centre in Coalville.

Forming part of Lionheart Educational Trust’s newly forged partnership with Amazon, the children had fun taking part in a number of initiatives to celebrate both Comic Relief and Mother’s Day.

Abuzz with excitement, the energetic children enjoyed competing against one another in multiple egg and spoon races. Balancing both speed and co-ordination, the pupils had to carefully transport an egg from one side of the course to the other, without it tumbling off their spoon. There was certainly no yolking about with this eggcellent task and the children had a cracking time participating!

Afterwards, pupils showcased some of their artistic flair as they designed Mother’s Day cards for the forthcoming celebrations.

Then, there was just enough time to pose for a quick picture with the Amazon mascot before the journey home.

The children had a wonderful day and, thanks to the newly formed partnership, other schools within the Trust can look forward to comparable opportunities in the future.
